Working in the open charge and demand certain choreographic solutions. In this case it can be the direction and power of the waterfall which is dependent on recent rain in the high mountains, the temperature of the exact performance which takes place from 10.30pm, the darkness, the acoustics of the gorge, wind conditions and the solidity of the rock.

In advance, a number of geologists, mountain rescuers, red cross and local experts have evaluated the site and given advice. Local storytellers have been generous with their tales and experiences of the area, feeding us in to literature and into music archives.

As choreographers we develop ideas with our team of artists and we transform and mold each idea until it can be rehearsed on the spot. Often it takes a number of physical rehearsal periods before each section finds its place in the scenario.
The scenario of Juv is a booklet of 10 different scenes written chronologically with notes for movement, light- design, set- design, costume, music, and perfomances from all artist groupings with references to inspiration from Henrik Ibsens "Peer Gynt" and chosen inspirational material.
At the core of Dansdesigns work is the choreography of dancematerial that is developed in a prepartory research period on the site exactly one year before the premiere with 2 of the professional dancers.
This preparatory research period creates the foundation for the development of the dancematerial for the 70 minute long performance.
